What Is a Las Vegas Guestlist?

A guestlist is a pre-approved entry list submitted by a licensed promoter directly to the venue. When you're on the list, you use a separate guestlist entrance (usually shorter than the main door line), you show your ID, give your name, and you're in. Ladies get in free on most nights. Guys with an even ratio typically get in free or at a reduced cover.

The guestlist exists because it benefits both the venue and the guest. Venues need volume — they need people inside early, before the DJ drops and the room fills organically. The guestlist incentivizes groups to arrive earlier by removing the financial barrier. The venue gets a fuller room earlier. You get in free. Win-win.

How I Submit a Guestlist as an Official TAO Group Promoter

As an official TAO Group Hospitality promoter, I have direct access to the guestlist system for all 9 TAO venues. When you text me your details, I submit your name, party size, and gender breakdown directly into the TAO Group system. The venue sees your name, knows you're coming, and processes you at the guestlist door.

This is different from what aggregator sites and apps do. Aggregator sites take your information and route it to a random promoter in their network — someone they don't vet, someone you've never spoken to, someone who may or may not be officially affiliated with the venue. Guestlist Rules You Need to Know

Ratio matters. The guestlist is ratio-based. On most nights, ladies get in free always. Guys get in free or reduced with an even ratio (equal or more ladies than guys). A group of 8 guys and 2 girls will face a cover for the guys. A group of 4 guys and 4 girls is typically fine.
Arrive before the cutoff. Guestlists close when venues hit capacity or at a hard cutoff time (typically 1 AM). Before 11:30 PM is the rule for most venues on most nights. Earlier is always better.
The list doesn't guarantee entry on sold-out nights. If a venue closes the guestlist before you arrive because they've hit capacity, you may face a cover or be turned away. This is rare but it happens on major headliner nights. Arriving early solves this entirely.
Special events are different. New Year's Eve, EDC weekend, Super Bowl weekend, Memorial Day — these events often have covers even for guestlist guests. Text me your date and I'll tell you exactly what to expect.
Your ID must match your name. You'll be asked for valid government-issued ID at the guestlist door. The name on the list must match. 21+ only, no exceptions.

Buying a ticket makes sense for major headliner nights when you want guaranteed entry regardless of the wait or list status. Tickets guarantee you get in. The guestlist does not guarantee entry once capacity is hit.
